The Heart Behind Phil Hyman Portraits
You know how fast it goes. One season your kids are small enough to hold, and the next you're watching them grow into someone new almost overnight. The moments that define your family — the laughter, the closeness, the way they look at you right now — don't stay.
That's exactly why this studio exists.
Phil Hyman founded Phil Hyman Portraits over 54 years ago because he believed family was worth preserving — not just in a photo album, but on the walls where life actually happens. His son Alex didn't just inherit the business. He grew up inside it — running through the studio as a kid, watching his father connect with family after family, learning that the real work behind the camera is about people, not pictures.
Today, Alex carries that same conviction into every session. He's spent a lifetime developing one skill above all others: helping families relax enough to simply be themselves — so that who they truly are shows up in every frame.
Becky has been part of this work since she was eighteen. As Art Director and a mom herself, she knows what it's like to blink and find your child has changed. She guides every family through turning their most meaningful moments into heirloom wall art — pieces that feel like they belong in your home, because they belong to your story.
This isn't a corporate studio chasing volume. It's a family business — built by a father, carried on by his son — rooted in the belief that your family deserves the same thing every family who has walked through these doors has always deserved: someone who sees you, and art that makes sure you never forget this season.
