The Lion King is my hubby’s all time favorite Disney movie! As soon as he heard that a live action version of the movie was coming out, he was ecstatic and couldn’t wait to buy the tickets!

So today was the day! I woke up this morning to him singing “Hakuna-Matata” and smiling from ear to ear. We ate breakfast, got dressed, and headed to our local Regal Cinemas movie theatre. 

This movie was absolutely incredible! From the opening scene where all the animals gathered to witness and catch a glimpse of their future king, Baby Simba, I was mesmerized by all the beautiful scenery. I almost cried when Mufasa died. I laughed on and off at Pumba and his little pal, Timone as they talked about living a carefree life and passing gas. And I cheered with excitement when Simba went home to take back his throne!

Disney did a wonderful job keeping this movie true to the popular cartoon. The effects were awesome, the scenes amazing and gorgeous, and the music brought me right back to my childhood! 

I give The Lion King a big “thumbs up”! Great family movie to experience together!!
