Family Spotlight: The Bright Family
Many of our clients become some of our dearest friends! It's one of those blessings that we receive just by doing what we do. Our business is very personal and it's so easy to get close to those families that we capture. The Brights were a little unique as we were already friends with them before we actually got to photograph their family.
Susan text me one day and said that she needed to schedule an appointment to have the family photographed. We discussed and decided that they really wanted their portraits to be done outdoors so we reserved a time to meet in our garden location in the city. They envisioned their portraits being casual yet classic.
The day of the session was gorgeous and their clothing choices were spot on which made our job super easy. Steve and Susan have two children who are both in High School. We found out that they really have never taken a family portrait and they had waited so long to have these done. What an honor!!!
We went through and did several of the family, some of the kids together and separate, and finally one of Steve and Susan. It really was a fun session.
They came in for the proofing and I really didn't know what to expect and how they would react to the portraits. Susan almost had a tear in her eye when she saw one image with her son holding her hand. Those connections are so important during a family session. I was able to help them select the perfect sizes for each of their portraits and figure out the best placement on their walls.
When their artwork was completed and ready for pickup, Steve didn't waste any time hanging his portraits. As soon as they were hung, he texted us the results. It's so much fun seeing our portrait art from start to finish. Now the Bright Family has priceless pieces in their home of their precious family!
